Our Story

Terramonga Farm began when Joe and Elaina Sabbag moved to Fairview, North Carolina in 2018 with a vision to build a farm that respects the land and the community around it.

Drawing on Joe’s farming experience in Georgia, they started by growing vegetables and later expanded to raising sheep, chickens, pigs, and cattle.

Over time, the farm continued to grow with the support of a dedicated team who shared their commitment to caring for the land.

Terramonga Deli & Provisions

In 2024, Joe and Elaina purchased Troyer’s Country Amish Blatz, a beloved roadside store known for its sandwiches and welcoming spirit.

The sale closed shortly after Hurricane Helene, and a few months later the store reopened as Terramonga Deli & Provisions. The transition honored the heart of the original store while introducing Terramonga’s own produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, lamb, and pantry staples.

Seasonal farm boxes also became available throughout the year, giving families a steady way to bring thoughtfully raised ingredients to their tables.

Terramonga Hub

As Terramonga’s relationship with the community deepened, it became clear that the people of Western North Carolina were at the heart of everything they hoped to build.

Terramonga first began by offering seasonal farm boxes, helping families bring ethically produced ingredients to their tables throughout the year.

This community-first spirit is what sparked the creation of the Terramonga Hub. Built in collaboration with neighboring local farms, the Hub was designed as a place where the community of Western North Carolina could easily access the abundance of its own region.

A Shared Commitment to the Land

Together, the farm, the deli, and the Hub form a connected effort to nourish Western North Carolina. Each part supports the others and reflects Terramonga’s belief in good food, community, and respect for the land.
